
Dr. Denis McNamara
Dr. Denis McNamera holds a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from Yale University, as well as a Masters and Doctorate in Architectural History from the University of Virginia. He teaches at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS where he is the director of the Center of Beauty and Culture. He spent two decades at the Mundelein Seminary near Chicago where he served as Academic Director and Associate Professor at the Liturgical Institute.

His written works include How to Read Churches: A Crash Course in Ecclesiastical Architecture. He’s a sought-after lecturer, scholar, architectural consultant and judge of sacred art, as well as co-host of the popular podcast, The Liturgy Guys.

Dr. McNamara co-hosts a podcast, The Liturgy Guys, which can be accessed wherever you access podcasts. Season 6 walked through the Mass, section by section, discussing the development and reasoning for each moment. Co-host Christopher Carstens is originally from Minden, Nebraska, and works in tandem with DMac through the Adoremus Bulletin.
